I’m Tiara, the Founder and Creative Director of The Isla Company - a collective built on curiosity, resilience, and the belief that creativity and integrity should be accessible and sustainable.
With over 15 years in photography and 6 years in marketing and event management, my work lives at the intersection of storytelling and strategy. Photography taught me how to truly see people - how light, timing, and honesty can transform a moment. Marketing and events taught me how to bring those ideas to life with clarity, intention, and structure (because timelines, unlike creativity, are not optional).
The Isla Company was created as a response to rigid, exclusionary creative models - offering top-tier services through sustainable rates, without compromising quality. Truly, excellence should feel obtainable, not intimidating.
What began as a single passion grew into what I like to call the Seven Slices of Isla - seven divisions reflected in our logo - each rooted in a different part of who I am. Media, marketing, events, food, education, community, and impact live under one roof - not because they should, but because they naturally do. Like most meaningful things, it’s layered, intentional, and held together by purpose (and a f*ck ton of coffee).
The name Isla itself holds deeper value. As a biracial woman with Sicilian and Trinidadian roots, I grew up between cultures - different languages, rhythms, traditions, and ways of seeing the world. The one thing they share is that they are both islands. That duality shaped how I move through life and work: grounded yet expansive & shaped by many influences without ever losing my own edge. Isla represents that in-between space - and the freedom to build something whole from many parts.
My commitment to impact is deeply personal. An unstable start in life shaped my understanding of empathy, resilience, and the importance of safe spaces - leading to the creation of The Isla Initiative, our charitable branch supporting mental health advocacy, substance abuse recovery, and animal welfare.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with my dogs - Olive, Enzo, Isla (our namesake and forever inspiration), and Chewy, a chihuahua who somehow rules the roost. Leadership comes in many forms.
At my core, I value wellness, balance, and conscious growth. The Isla Company isn’t just what I do - it’s a reflection of who I am: complex & a little unconventional, and always built with authenticity.

I’m Avery Collins, a multidisciplinary creative within The Isla Collective. I’m drawn to work that balances intention and imagination - where strong ideas are supported by thoughtful execution, genuine collaboration, and a respect for the process. I believe creativity works best when it’s human, accessible, and rooted in purpose, not pressure.
My background spans visual storytelling, content development, and project support, which allows me to move fluidly between big-picture thinking and the details that bring ideas to life. I enjoy shaping concepts, refining systems, and helping projects unfold in ways that feel both structured and inspired. I’m especially motivated by work that builds connection - between people, communities, and the stories they share.
What drew me to Isla was its commitment to doing things differently: creating high-quality work without rigidity, valuing sustainability over shortcuts, and leaving space for both creativity and care. It’s a collective that prioritizes integrity, collaboration, and balance - where ideas are nurtured, not rushed, and where how we work truly matters.
Outside of projects, I’m someone who values curiosity, wellness, and thoughtful environments. I’m inspired by good design, meaningful conversations, and the belief that the best work happens when people feel supported, trusted, and genuinely excited about what they’re building together.
