Our volunteers support community-driven programs focused on mental health advocacy, substance abuse recovery, and animal welfare - helping create safe, inclusive spaces where care and connection come first.
In return, volunteers are welcomed into the Isla community, with opportunities to experience select events, workshops, and initiatives at no cost. It’s our way of saying thank you - by sharing access, learning, and moments that bring people together.
We proudly support high school volunteer hour requirements and provide official hour sign-offs and documentation for students upon completion.
Opportunities vary by season and initiative, and we welcome individuals with a wide range of skills, interests, and availability.

Youth & Student Volunteers
High school and post-secondary students can assist across most areas with age-appropriate tasks, mentorship opportunities, and official volunteer hour sign-offs provided.

Assist with workshops, fundraisers, outreach events, and wellness-focused gatherings. Volunteers help with setup, guest support, registration, and creating welcoming, inclusive environments.
Mental Health & Wellness Initiatives
Support advocacy efforts through awareness campaigns, resource distribution, event assistance, and peer-support environments (non-clinical). Compassion, discretion, and empathy are key.
Substance Abuse Recovery Support
Assist with community programming, educational events, and recovery-friendly initiatives by helping with logistics, coordination, and participant support.
Animal Welfare & Care Support
Help with partner rescues, adoption events, supply drives, transport coordination, and general animal care support, depending on availability and need.
Creative & Media Support
Contribute to photography, videography, writing, graphic design, or social media support to help amplify the stories and impact of our initiatives.
Administrative & Project Support
Support planning, scheduling, documentation, data entry, volunteer coordination, and behind-the-scenes organization that keeps initiatives running smoothly
